Tokidoki, the famous (and massively Japanese inspired) lifestyle brand from Italy, has collaborated with Mattel to create a Barbie who’s obviously joined Tokidoki’s cult following | Sporting head to toe Tokidoki clothing including: sunglasses, bracelets, logo top, handbag, belt and leggings She also has Tokidoki tattoos, silver pumps and a pink bob and cactus pup, Bastardino, by her side | Available at the Barbie Collector Shop in October, 2011.

Transformers x BAPE Kids | Optimus Prime Toy & Apparel

Andy Smith | Sunny Side Up | Soma | Bristol

Illustrator Andy Smith’s solo show, Sunny Side Up, is currently running at Bristol’s Soma gallery until August 20th 2011 | The show features a host of screenprints, invariably featuring hand-lettered messages, plus some painted and screenprinted wooden panel artworks too | Hastings based illustrator Andy Smith studied at Brighton University and the Royal College of Art | When not busy working for clients such as Orange, Nike, McDonalds, The Guardian and Faber and Faber he can be found in his studio by the sea in Hastings printing books and posters which he has exhibited in the UK, France, USA and Australia | Specialising in silkscreen printing Andy’s work combines illustration and typography to create images with humour, energy and optimism, executed with a handmade tactile feel | Illustrating for 12 years, his work has won D&AD, Creative Circle and AOI awards and been featured in numerous books and publications | His summer show at Soma Gallery in Bristol will include a set of 12 new large artworks, hand screenprinted by Andy and featuring his distinct hand lettering and visuals | They deal with bold statements, strange visitors, warnings from gurus, the thoughts of Captain Scott and other random themes | Accompanying these prints will be an eclectic collection of new 3D arrows and moose heads, totes, stickers and one sad lonely, goldfish | Many of the pieces are available to purchase in limited runs from the Soma shop | asmithillustration.com | somagallery.co.uk

To celebrate the 75th anniversary of DC Comics, Myface Art Gallery & Concept has chosen Finger In The Nose and Little Fashion Gallery to sell a limited edition collection of exclusive t-shirts | In May 2010 Myface, dedicated to digital art, launched an international art contest | The theme: to re-interpret DC Comics’ Super Heroes | An exhibited in the Palais de Tokyo showcased the art works that included Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman | The idea of using the exclusive images on clothes has quickly become patently obvious to Myface and a capsule collection of adult T-shirts is now sold in 60 high-end locations, including Harvey Nichols in London and Le Palais de Tokyo in Paris | For the children’s range the gallery opted for Finger in The Nose, and has chosen Little Fashion Gallery to sell this exclusive limited series | Material: 100% cotton | Washing: Washing 30° | I must confess boobosh is usually not a fan of the v-neck t-shirt but they work with this collection – Although I must stress that it is a children only thing, grown men should be punished for even contemplating wearing v-neck t-shirts… It is not big and most definitely not clever! – and the print/materials/graphics are all excellent | Available at www.littlefashiongallery.com
